I have been trying to concentrate to the text itself, and forget about the keyboard - during this effort the most important is to fetch graphically somehow the next word, to anticipate it before typing that word. One has to try keep the ballance between the correct spelling and the pace. When you type a certain word or letter, symbol, etc. you had better to know which will be the next one. It is very useful to practice the most hardest typing combinations, and after that you may feel very easy to type a plain text. Imagine that all of your fingers have their own brain, and they are able to do anything quickly and independently.

I do not spell the words letter by letter. I read the word and just let my fingers do the rest.

I still tend to look when I need to capitalize letters.

Sometimes if I am typing words like 'as', I slide my finger from the a to the s, since the letters are right next to each other on the keyboard.

My name is Asfar Kazmi,I am living in Pakistan. Rightnow i am sitting in the drawing room to try to create a paragraph for enhance the typing speed. My immediate goal is to build my typing speed at least 180 words per minutes. I personally believe that people shouldn't wait for the opportunity, they should create it.

Using Dvorak. Just because the common keyboard is Qwerty doesn't mean you have to be a sheep. Do 3 months with Dvorak, you will bet your Qwerty apm.
