Lauren - Something to Ponder - Part 1
The Lost Boys come to Neverland - to Peter - from the normal world, right? Taken from our realm, they travel with Peter Pan or Tinkerbell or other fairies perhaps. Are they stolen? Kidnapped? Enticed to leave on their own accord with promises of adventure and a parentless existence? Perhaps they were even rescued from starving in streets and alleys. Missing children are hardly a novelty and thinking of them alive and well and living in Neverland is far better than the alternative, right?

Tom Card - Burn Notice - People don't break the same
Imagine that you're holding on to two bottles, and they drop on the floor. What happens? They both break. But it's how they break that's important. Because you see, while one bottle crumples into a pile of glass, the other shatters into a jagged-edged weapon. You see, the exact same environment that forged older brother into a warrior, crushed baby brother. People just don't all break the same, Mrs. Westen. Just don't.

Sleeping At Last - Two
Sweetheart, you look a little tired. When did you last eat? Come in and make yourself right at home. Stay as long as you need. Tell me, is something wrong? If something's wrong, you can count on me. You know I'd take my heart clean apart if it helped yours beat. It's okay if you can't find the words. Let me take your coat and this weight off of your shoulders.

Four - Divergent
I don't want to be just one thing. I can't be. I want to be brave, and I want to be selfless, intelligent, and honest, and kind. Although, I'm still working on kind.

F K T - I wish
I wish she understood how much she has to offer and what she is capable of. That she does not need a man to dictate her worth. That being alone is OK and that it doesn't mean you'll be alone forever. I wish she realized that her kids love her beyond what she can offer them. I wish I could be a good enough example for her to know that hard work is more rewarding than begging for scraps of affection and money. I wish I could understand why she does what she does.

Plato
All men are by nature equal, made all of the same earth by one Workman; and however we deceive ourselves, as dear unto God is the poor peasant as the mighty prince.

unknown - Bright and Dark
I wish, I want, why can't they stop and get me by the G. My M is getting tired and mad. I want to be on the team too. Can I get an S, at least. I want to play monkey see monkey do. Pick me, pick me up now lol who am I kidding. Death becomes me.

unknown - Matrix... It will come.
The longer I stay, the longer I see and know more, but the longer it gets; I begin to question what is truly real and wrong. I am not afraid of becoming non-existing. I am afraid to leave her behind, but that time will come and I will follow the sign of the rabbit or the little lady who bugs me in the gift shop and I may just take both pills and jump to see how deep that mini hole goes.

By the Three Initiates - Kybalion
"everything is in motion"; "everything vibrates"; "nothing is at rest"; facts which Modern Science endorses, and which each new scientific discovery tends to verify. And yet this Hermetic Principle was enunciated thousands of years ago, by the Masters of Ancient Egypt. This Principle explains that the differences between different manifestations of Matter, Energy, Mind, and even Spirit, result largely from varying rates of Vibration.

By the Three Initiates - Kybalion
The old Hermetic axiom ran in these words: "As above, so below; as below, so above." And the grasping of this Principle gives one the means of solving many a dark paradox, and hidden secret of Nature. There are planes beyond our knowing, but when we apply the Principle of Correspondence to them we are able to understand much that would otherwise be unknowable to us. This Principle is of universal application and manifestation, on the various planes of the material, mental, and spiritual universe.

Andrew Hunt - The Art of Programming
In some ways, programming is like painting. You start with a blank canvas and certain basic raw materials. You use a combination of science, art, and craft to determine what to do with them.

Gayle Laakmann Mcdowell - Be Specific, Not Arrogant.
Arrogance is a red flag, but you still want to make yourself sound impressive. So how do you make yourself sound good without being arrogant? By being specific! Specificity means giving just the facts and letting the interviewer derive an interpretation. For example, rather than saying that you "did all the hard parts," you can instead describe the specific bits you did that were challenging.

fred - Philosophical Conversations
Do you like philosophical conversations? You know, figuratively questioning, "Why is the water wet?" And you're not questioning the physical attributes of why the water is actually and tangibly wet, but is merely questioning something deeper. "What is underneath the blueness of life?" "What secrets are hidden underneath?" That is philosophy.

Omar7 - Why are typing exercises so addictive for me?
Late at night, after a day as a software developer, finally he comes home. He had his lunch and drank a nice cup of hot mint. Now, it's time for his new habit, typing, more accurately, "touch-typing". Since he saw those competitive programmers and their insanely high typing speeds, he wanted to be like them, or just get near as much as he can. That's where it all started, Keybr, 10fastfingers and finally the lovely Keyhero website. He is now officially addicted to daily touch-typing exercises.

Lin Manuel Miranda - In the Heights
Me and my cousin running just another dime-a-dozen mom and pop stop and shop and oh my god it's gotten too darn hot. Like my man Cole Porter said, people come through for a few cold waters and a lottery ticket, just a part of the routine. Everybody's got a job, everybody's got a dream. They gossip, as I sip my coffee and smirk, the first stop as people hop to work.

Lin Manuel Miranda - In the Heights
I am Usnavi and you probably never heard my name, reports of my fame are greatly exaggerated. Exacerbated by the fact that my syntax is highly complicated cause I immigrated from the single greatest little place in the Caribbean, Dominican Republic, I love it. Jesus, I'm jealous of it, and beyond that ever since my folks passed on, I haven't gone back. God damn, I gotta get on that.

Lin Manuel Miranda - In The Heights
Lights up on Washington Heights, up at the break of day, I wake up and I got this little punk I gotta chase away. Pop the grate at the crack of dawn, sing while I wipe down the awning. Hey y'all, good morning.

brooklyn 99 - I bet you couldn't
I bet you couldn't make a sentence without the letter "A." You thought you did something here didn't you? Well sorry to burst your bubble, but numerous sentences could be constructed without employing the first letter of the English lexicon.

Anonymous - I cut my finger.
Earlier today, I cut my finger deeply on the blade of a tape dispenser. It wouldn't stop bleeding for 10 minutes. My mom, who's a doctor, had to help patch me up. Right now, I am typing to see if having a thick band-aid on my right middle finger affects my typing speed and accuracy. Wish me luck.

Nassim Nicholas Taleb - Antifragile
Further, the random element in trial and error is not quite random, if it is carried out rationally, using error as a source of information. If every trial provides you with information about what does not work, you start zooming in on a solution - so every attempt becomes more valuable, more like an expense than an error. And of course you make discoveries along the way.
