I found my average typing speed increasing consistently until I was averaging 80 wpm, but struggled to get faster. I had exceeded 100 wpm on certain quotes but only sporadically. I chanced upon a quote by another user that suggested English typists looking for something different should try typing Dutch. Different it definitely was, but more surprising was the increasing steadiness to my typing as I concentrated on each letter. Now my average wpm is increasing again.
