Cormac McCarthy
- Blood Meridian, or, the Evening Redness in the West
Even in this world more things exist without our knowledge than with it and the order in creation which you see is that which you have put there, like a string in a maze, so that you shall not lose your way. For existence has its own order and that no man's mind can compass, that mind itself being but a fact among others.

- Spring Wind
Atop the dome, there she stands. There she skips. There her hands flutter over the keys, spring wind tickling her hair. The kids cheer for her, but she sees you there.
JRR Tolkien
- In The House of Tom Bombadil
Tom was here before the river and the trees; Tom remembers the first raindrop and the first acorn. He made paths before the Big People, and saw the Little People arriving. He was here before the Kings and the graves and the Barrow-wights. When the Elves passed westward, Tom was here already, before the seas were bent. He knew the dark under the stars when it was fearless - before the Dark Lord came from Outside.

Smart, sexy Lacy, I'm losing it lately. I feel your compliments like bullets on skin. Dazzling starlet, Bardot reincarnate. Well, aren't you the greatest thing to ever exist?

- Free Birds (2013)
We're going back in time, to the first Thanksgiving, to get turkeys off the menu. That's right, we're going back in time, to the first thanksgiving, to get turkeys off the menu.

- Fear
There are many things in this world that we are going to fear. The key is to know if they are worth the worrying. Most of the time it's going to be justified, but for those other moments when it's not, relax.

- That's So True
Made it out alive, but I think I lost it. Said that I was fine - said it from the coffin. Remember how I died when you started walking? That's my life, that's my life. I'll put up a fight, taking out my earrings. Don't you know the vibe? Don't you know the feeling? You should spend the night, catch me on your ceiling. That's your prize, that's your prize.

- Vermillion
She is everything and more. She is home to me. I get nervous, perverse, when I see her it's worse. But the stress is astounding. It's now or never, she's coming home forever. Oh, she's the only one that makes me sad. Carve my name in my face to recognize. Such a pheromone cult to terrorize. I won't let this build up inside of me. I'm the slave and I'm the master. She is something in me that I despise. She isn't real. I can't make her real. She isn't real. I can't make her real.

Down the well worn path from monotone to colorful, walk your way down to either devastating or wonderful. The sweetest melody to rouse each and every bird. In no corner of the park was her melody unheard.

- Hot Button Issue - Book Quote
His staff surround him, people I've worked with, people I thought I liked. They fidget, clearly uncomfortable. Their gazes shift from the senator to the police and the protesters growing more unruly by that moment. But they just stand there. They do nothing to help. And that's when it hits me. I'm just like them. Frozen. Afraid... And even though I'm here, I hid in the shadows. I have no sign. I have no voice. I'm still complicit. Not anymore.

- Mouthwashing
I have to believe that what we do in our worst moments won't make us monsters. I have to believe that we are more than those moments. I have to believe that.
Baby Bash
- Suga Suga
You know its leather when we ride wood grain and raw hide. Doing what we do, watching screens getting high Girl, you keep it so fly with your sweet honeybuns You was there when the money was gone You'll be there when the money comes.
Beabadoobee
- Girl Song
Waking up to hardly recognizing my own face. Just a stranger in the mirror, thinking "Oh, what a shame, didn't think she'd look this way." Don't look no different to how I looked yesterday. All I want to do is find the words to make it up to you. Making all the same mistakes, I guess there's still a lot to prove. And there's something I can't say in an ordinary way. Day like no other, and just another bad day.

A breeze in the air, some cloth in your hand. Pink petals drifting to the sound of her band. The sound of love strikes just like your friend said, so you search for the love that rings in your head.
Mikhail Bulgakov
- The Master and Margarita: 32 Forgiveness and Eternal Refuge
Oh gods! Yea gods of mine! How sad the earth at night. How strange the swamp mists. He knows it who has wandered astray in those mists, who has suffered greatly before dying, who has walked the earth carrying an unbearable burden. The weary one knows, and he leaves the earth's mists, swamps, and rivers without regret. He readily gives himself into the hands of death, knowing that it alone can bring him peace.
Michael Parenti
- Democracy for the Few
The desire to "make it," even at the expense of others, is not merely a wrong-headed attitude but a reflection of the material conditions of capitalist society, wherein no one is ever really economically secure except the super rich.
Eiichiro Oda
- One piece-Donquixote Doflamingo
Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is a neutral ground! Justice will prevail you say, of course it will.

- Anxiety
What's insane to me is how often people shrug off anxiety symptoms. For example, when someone is so anxious that they're throwing up and shaking, somehow that appropriate advice is, "Rise above it! Take deep breaths!" If someone is having symptoms to the point that daily life becomes painful, why is it acceptable to shrug and act as if that person is weak? Telling someone with anxiety to just "calm down" is like telling someone with a broken leg to "walk it off."

- Persistence
Do not strive to be one of great talents; strive to be one of mediocre talents, but with unrivaled persistence. Most of history's greatest were actually just history's most persistent.
