Dan Reeder - Clean Elvis Pt. 2
I battle aliens from outer space. They got one eye right in the middle of their face. I grab my laser gun, I know my place. Somebody has to save the human race. And I will always love you. It seems hopeless, but wouldn't you know, they got a weakness and they let it show; they can't jump and they're a little bit slow. When I say World War II, I mean the video. And I - help me, Elvis! I - come on now Elvis! I can't help falling in love with you.

Frank Herbert, Dune
Muad'Dib learned rapidly because his first training was in how to learn. And the first lesson of all was the basic trust that he could learn. It's shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult. Muad'Dib knew that every experience carries its lesson.

Anonymous - Silent Cry - Stray Kids
I'll listen to your silent cry, so that you don't get tired in a lost corner of your heart. Through the cracks in the door of that poorly closed space called you, there is a silent cry that only I can hear. The silent cry that you've been hiding for a while. You can show your tears that you've been quietly hiding, to me. Can I listen to your familiar self-talk too? Don't be the only one hurting.

Anonymous - Fondest Memories
Its been several years, and now I am in high school. I don't really remember much from primary except that it was the happiest times of my life, and I can call a memory so. Nothing is better than sitting on a bus with all of your friends that you've bonded with the entire year going on a trip to the mountains with Hall of Fame playing on the bus's speakers. Nostalgia fills me when I look at the sunset with friends on every side talking and enjoying themselves. Its one of my fondest memories.

Dan Reeder
I looked up death in the dictionary one day just to see what the dictionary had to say: it's the complete and irreversible cessation of life functions. Which is not very poetic but it's precise and clean, and if you analyze it, what that means is when they're gone... they're gone.

Dan Reeder - Long Ago
Long ago, before the world had cooled, the moon flew out of the earth. Eons it spun around the earth and the sun, until it was perfectly round. And I have been waiting an hour now for a bus on the outskirts of town. Maybe this bus doesn't run anymore, or maybe the schedule is wrong. Walking is out of the question from here; it's raining and my youth is gone. Long ago, before the world had cooled, the moon flew out of the earth...

Dan Reeder - Clean Elvis
I inject pure kryptonite into my brain, it improves my kung-fu and it eases the pain during acceleration when the pedal hits the floor; this thing burns nitroglycerin and powdered C4. And I will always love you. I drive a modified T-series Lola - it's kind of heavy, but I like the feel. When I say Vietnam it sounds just like Coca-Cola. I believe most anything as long as it's not real. And I will always love you.

Brennan Kenneth Brown - Four Seasons Excerpt
Take stock of everything here, the cold fingertips and beautiful hoarfrost killing the garden outside. I don't need God, I am no longer small. It's calmer now.

Instrint - Nobody cares
Nobody cares, so go on with life. Stop sharing useless things with the world and eat a cock. By cock, I mean specifically... A male chicken. Grab it by the neck and snap it, Chop off the head with an axe and boil the body. By boiling the body, you make it easier to remove the feathers. Once they are gone you can further cook it and do with it as you please :).

Jon Bois - 17776: An answered prayer.
Struggle - true, unfabricated struggle - is a cocoon they have shed. Humans are beings of the land and sea who have refused to cast themselves into the cosmic zoo. Exploration and conquest are meaningless. They have achieved their final form, and they are resting in an eternal moment. They are creatures of play. They will be creatures of play until the end of time.

Jon Bois - 17776: Heaven is scary
Because I'm like you, I kinda look at the big long life ahead of me that stretches out forever and disappears. And I get scared. And I think, "This can't be Heaven if I'm getting scared, right?" And then I think, "Maybe I am in Heaven, and Heaven is scary."

Jacques Vallée - Passport to Magonia: From Folklore to Flying Saucers
The visitors have the power to fly through the air using luminous craft, sometimes called "celestial chariots." With these manifestations are associated impressive physical and meteorological displays, which the primitive authors call "whirlwind," "pillar of fire," etc. The occupants of these craft, to whom popular imagery will later ascribe wings and luminosity, are similar to man and communicate with him.

Jacques Vallée - Passport to Magonia: From Folklore to Flying Saucers
It is in the literature of religion that flying objects from celestial countries are most commonly encountered, along with descriptions of the organization, nature, and philosophy of their occupants. Indeed, several writers have consistently pointed out that the fundamental texts of every religion refer to the contact of the human community with a "superior race" of beings from the sky.

Jacques Vallée - Passport to Magonia: From Folklore to Flying Saucers
Let us come to the point now. It would be nice to hold on to the common belief that the UFOs are craft from a superior space-civilization, because this is a hypothesis science fiction has made widely acceptable, and because we are not altogether unprepared, scientifically and even, perhaps, militarily, to deal with such visitors. Unfortunately, however, the theory that flying saucers are material objects from outer space manned by a race originating on some other planet is not a complete answer.

Dan Reeder - Two Weeks After Dieter Died
Two weeks after Dieter died, you could call him on the phone. He would tell you that he's not home, and it gave you an eerie feeling even though you knew it was just an answering machine. Somewhere deep inside you know they don't come back when they go, and he had gone and when they're gone... they're gone.

Dan Reeder - Maybe
Maybe Jesus beat that rap, we're not sure. Maybe you can live forever if your heart is pure. Maybe you'll come back someday as a king prawn. Maybe angels come and take you away to heaven, or the other way; but from down here, it appears that when they're gone... they're gone.

Dan Reeder
The first guy I knew who died, can't remember his name, the tenth grade started, he just never came again. All his friends sat around and cried for a day or two. You can say what you want about immortal souls, when that guy died, it left a hole. It was my first clue that when they're gone, they're gone.

Daythan L. - God of War - Kratos Reveals to Atreus He is a God
The truth... I'm a god boy, from another land far from here. When I came to these shores, I chose to live as a man. But the truth is... I was born a god... and so were you.

A kid trying to do some work - Insert title here
I have a filming project that is due. It's for this school program I go to. I'm just going to type some random stuff here for one shot for the film. The project is due about... uh, a couple of days from now. Do you like dogs? Or do you like cats? Or do you hate pets in general? I have never seen a cat in person. Probably because no one takes their cats for walks, people should start walking more with their cats.

Paige Bradley - The Box
From the moment we are born, the world tends to have a box already built for us to fit inside. Our umbilical cord never seems to be severed; we only find new needs to fill. If we disconnected and severed our attachments, would we shatter our confinements and expand beyond our shell? Would the world look different? Would we recognize ourselves? Are we the box that we are inside, and to be authentically 'un-contained' would we still be able to exist? This is the irony of containment. As long as we.
