The ancient Greeks were an interesting bunch of people. They ranged from the democratic and sea-faring Athenians to the militaristic Spartans and the great conquerors of Macedonia. They managed to colonize many parts of the Mediterranean, including what is now modern day Italy and Turkey. One interesting thing about the Greeks is that they never drank pure wine. It was considered barbaric to do so. They instead diluted their wine, two parts water to one part wine.

lonelycrier2.0 - The Walking Dead Video Game
So, I just played this game. It was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever played or watched. I got super attached to this game. Lee, my favorite character, started his journey in the apocalypse in handcuffs, and ended it in handcuffs. I'm currently playing season 2, and it better not be as sad as season 1. Ah, poor Clementine.

Harry Styles - As It Was
Go home, get ahead, light-speed Internet, I don't want to talk about the way that it was. Leave America, two kids follow her, I don't want to talk about who's doing it first. Hey!

Harry Styles - As It Was
Answer the phone. Harry you're no good alone. Why are you sitting at home on the floor? What kind of pills are you on. Ringing the bell and nobody's coming to help. Your daddy lives with himself, he just wants to know that you're well. In this world, it's just us, you know it's not the same as it was.

Harry Styles - As It Was
Holding me back, gravity's holding me back. I want you to hold out the palm of your hand. Why don't we leave it at that? Nothing to say and everything gets in the way. Seems you cannot be replaced and I'm the one who will stay. In this world, it's just us, you know it's not the same as it was.

Mary Balogh - There is an end to suffering (Someone to Cherish)
Sometimes what seem to be the worst things that happen in our lives turn out actually to be the best. He had shared something painful from his own life, she guessed, in order to distract her from her own. Or to remind her that everyone suffers in the course of a lifetime. No one is immune. And perhaps to remind her that there is an end to suffering.

Metal Gear Rising - It Has to be This Way
Standing here, I realize you were just like me trying to make history. But who's to judge the right from wrong. When our guard is down I think we'll both agree, that violence breeds violence. But in the end, it has to be this way. I've carved my own path, you've followed your wrath, but maybe we're both the same. The world has turned, and so many have burned, but nobody is to blame. Yet staring across this barren wasted land, I feel new life could be born beneath the blood stained sand.

Terence McKenna
Chaos is what we've lost touch with. This is why it is given a bad name. It is feared by the dominant archetype of our world, which is Ego, which clenches because its existence is defined in terms of control.

hannahg - Vienna - Billy Joel
Too bad, but it's the life you lead. You're so ahead of yourself that you forgot what you need. Though you can see when you're wrong, you know you can't always see when you're right.

Growing up, I was a little hippie kid. I went to some good concerts... Amnesty International with Bob Dylan and Tracy Chapman... The best concert I ever went to was this one at the Cow Palace my freshman year in college on New Year's Eve. It was Pearl Jam opening for Nirvana opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I lead by example. My kids know what sweat is. They've seen me come home from so many runs and asked, 'What's on your skin? How did you get it?' And I tell them, 'It's from exercise!' So now my son will come home from a bike ride, take off his helmet and say, 'Look, Mom. I'm sweating! I just worked out!'

To be a champion, I think you have to see the big picture. It's not about winning and losing; it's about every day hard work and about thriving on a challenge. It's about embracing the pain that you'll experience at the end of a race and not being afraid. I think people think too hard and get afraid of a certain challenge.

Stephen King
When the cops ran out of the locker room, Billy Blockade was just standing there with blood all down the front of his white home uniform and Wenders lying at his feet. Nor did he try to fight or slash when the bluesuits grabbed him. No, he just stood there whispering to himself. "I got him, Doo. I got him, Billy. He won't make no more bad calls now. I got him for all of us."

Albert Camus - Meursault execution- The Stranger
As if that blind rage had washed me clean, rid me of hope; for the first time, in that night alive with signs and stars, I opened myself to the gentle indifference of the world. Finding it so much like myself, I felt that I had been happy and that I was happy again. For everything to be consummated, for me to feel less alone, I had only to wish that there be a large crowd of spectators the day of my execution and that they greet me with cries of hate.

Albert Camus - The Stranger
I had lived my life one way and I could just as well have lived it another. I had done this and I hadn't done that. I hadn't done this thing but I had done another. It was as if I had waited all this time for this moment and for the first light of this dawn to be vindicated. Nothing, nothing mattered, and I knew why.

Will Brown - Just a quick one for ya
Want something easy to type? Well, here's my story: I wake up, I go to work, I sleep. Sometimes I eat in there, too. The only thing keeping my days separate are my lovely cats and the daily Wordle.

Will Brown
You want something easy to type? I'll give you my story: I wake up, I go to work, I hate work, I go to bed. The only thing keeping my days separate are my cats and the daily Wordle.

Will Brown
I consider myself agnostic. My beliefs lie in a greater force that guides the universe. It may be good, bad, or not even coherent. I just believe that there's something out there. Yet, I still type out the word "God" over and over - just as a Christian is writing out the word "agnostic." So why then is it so hard to hear and understand those words in a greater context? Why must the battle for religion be exactly that: a battle? Why can't we all understand and be happy with each other's beliefs?

st. francis de sales - patience
Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them. Every day begin the task anew.

Ed Sheeran - Photograph
Loving can heal, loving can mend your soul. And it's the only thing that I know, know. I swear it will get easier. Remember that with every piece of you. Hmm, and it's the only thing we take with us when we die.
