Dear Dr. Jones,

Re: Rosemary McQueen, aged 15 years

I am writing to request your expertise in managing Rosemary, who has recently been diagnosed with celiac disease.

Rosemary presented in the Emergency Department two days ago with persistent diarrhea characterized by greasy stools, abdominal pain, and a blistering rash on her elbows, knees, and buttocks. She reported a weight loss of 2.5 kg in the past two weeks, accompanied by easy bruising. Her laboratory tests showed decreased haematocrit, calcium, WBC, and platelets levels. Conversely, her PT and aPTT were elevated. A positive Sudan black stain confirmed steatorrhea. Following these findings, all celiac antibody tests and a bowel biopsy were performed, confirming her diagnosis.

As of today, she has shown improvement and is prepared for discharge. Her discharge plan includes adherence to a gluten-free diet, administration of ferrous sulphate 200 mg for less than six months, and a follow-up to recheck antibody titers, CBC, and calcium levels in six weeks. Additionally, it is crucial to consider her family history of Crohn's disease and possible diabetes in her mother.

I would appreciate if you could assume responsibility for Rosemary’s ongoing care and provide updates on her progress. Please contact me if you require further details.

Yours sincerely,

Hazbin hotel Alastor by athena963

This place reeks of death, there's a chill in the air. And I barely escaped being killed by a hair. Great Alastor, altruist, died for his friends. Sorry to disappoint, that is not where this ends.

I'm hungry for freedom like never before. The constraints of my deal surely have a backdoor. Once I figure out how to unclip my wings. Guess who will be pulling all the strings?

Post #11 Rowlatt Act by plthroughlegal1

[INDIAN ROWLATT ACT PARALLELS WITH PALESTINIANS’ ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION]

India has endured systematic oppression due to colonialism. This piece of legislation called the Rowlatt Act was introduced after World War I to detain political prisoners or any ‘terrorists’ or ‘suspected persons’ without any charge or trial. This oppressive legislation eventually led to the Jallianwalla Bagh Massacre where peaceful unarmed protestors were fired at by the British troops.

We find the Rowlatt Act similar to the ongoing practice of Administrative Detention on Palestinians since 1967. Israel has more than 1,200 detainees, breaking a 30 year record for the horrendous practise of administrative detention. This figures includes minors from the age of 14, where civilians - men, women and children were detained arbitrarily without charge or trial. Even the legal counsels were not informed of what type of information or alleged evidence that would warrant their detention and deprive them of their liberty.

Without these essential information such as charge and evidence, how does one prepare their defence as they do not know what alleged crime they were being arrested for. It is mind boggling to see this heinous act of administrative detention practised continuously to this day.

If Israel supports the rule of law as they claimed, there should be heavy emphasis on establishing the truth to affect a lawful arrest, detention, trial, conviction and sentence on credible evidence and due legal process.

Ultimately, these children who like the adults in administrative detention will then be subjected to harsh interrogations and be convicted on coerced confessions, that in law would amount to be invalid as it is not the truth nor credible.

Israel refuses to acknowledge that they are an occupying state based on colonialism. Nonetheless, the oppressive legal system imposed on a single community is strong evidence of their existence as an occupier.

Hey guys. I’ve decided I’m going to take a hiatus from the Twitter chat. I’ve been very appreciative for being able to be a part of this close knit group of friends and have been very happy to get to know you all better. I haven’t really felt like a part of this group for a while now honestly and that isn’t really anybody else’s fault but probably my own and peoples change of interests over time. I don’t necessarily feel I bring much to this chat and my humor/personality doesn’t tend to land with the majority of people here (or at least that’s how it feels) . I will still send you guys individual stuff on Twitter and discord if it reminds me of you or something you’re interested in and I’ll still drop in to the VC, but I just wanted to let you all know so that it wasn’t just my name saying “left the group” with no explanation. I know this is a long message (as I tend to do with my signature trauma posting), but this has been weighing on my chest for a while and I wanted to be open about it. I have truly come to love you all in some form or fashion, and I may join back at some point if you’ll have me, but for now I’m going to go. Thank you for everything.

The chart shows the literacy rates in North America, Asia, and Africa between 1930 and 2000.

At the beginning of the period, North America had the highest literacy rate among all the continents. The figure was less than 70%. In contrast, the literacy rates in Asia and Africa were 39% and 16%, respectively. After this time, the literacy rate in Asia continued increasing at about the same rate, but the literacy rate in Africa increased rapidly between 1940 and 1950. These figures were 50% and 30% in 1950, respectively.

Between 1950 and 1980, growth in the literacy rate was slow in Africa and North America. During this time, these figures increased to 39% and 84%, respectively.
However, there was an interesting change after 1990. Growth in the literacy rate
in Asia accelerated while literacy in North America fell slightly. As a result, both of these figures recorded a value of 82% in 2000. On the other hand, the literacy rate in Africa stabilized at approximately 40%.

Overall, it is seen that Asia experienced the fastest and most stable growth pattern between 1930 and 2000. Meanwhile, literacy in Africa increased gradually while literacy in North America experienced the smallest increase.
