Why touch grass when you can sit in front of the computer and do typing tests? Why touch grass when you can sit in front of the computer and program something cool? Sitting in front of the computer isn't necessarily bad, it gets a bad rep these days but only because some of us do it too much. Get up, take a walk, look at something faraway to rest your eyes. But hey, it's okay to sit in front of the computer. I'll allow it.

The concept of waiting until marriage becomes more desirable as I age. As a young man, if I want my future wife to be relatively celibate, I should hold myself to the same standard. Read the word in your head slowly as you type it, and try to look at each part of the word as you type it (it's surprising how often you scan ahead and end up looking at the next word while you're still typing the previous one - disaster); and don't just do the classic typing test - do the instant death test too. Both slowing down and focussing as well as forcing yourself to go faster will get you to the scores you dream of.
