George Orwell - Politics and the English Language
Prose today consists less and less of words chosen for the sake of their meaning, and more and more of phrases tacked together like the sections of a prefabricated hen-house. I list below, with notes and examples, various of the tricks by means of which the work of prose-construction is habitually dodged.

Alan Watts - Alan Watts - Dream Quote excerpt
Let's have a dream which isn't under control. Where something is gonna happen to me that I don't know what it's going to be. And you would dig that and come out of that and say "Wow, that was a close shave, wasn't it?" And then you would get more and more adventurous, and you would make further and further out gambles as to what you would dream. And finally, you would dream... where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today.

United Stated Air Force - Airman's Creed
I have answered my Nation's call. I am an American Airman. My mission is to fly, fight, and win. I am faithful to a proud heritage, a tradition of honor, and a legacy of valor.

anonymous - Self-esteem
We're always encouraged to have "healthy self-esteem" and to keep working on "loving ourselves." But when does self-esteem become egotism? Isn't it selfish to spend time "loving ourselves" when we could actually be working on selflessness and humility?

I don't know man. Neuroscientific research has shown that new neuronal pathways are easier to form when someone is starving. That means that if you teach a man how to fish while they're starving, they may just learn it faster. I think it has something to do with triggering our survival instinct, which helps us retain and integrate new information more efficiently.

Anonymous - Don't judge a book by its cover
The viscous yapping canines drew the farmer out of his home, his shotgun in hand. The farmer immediately went into action, cocking his gun, and aiming at the wolf. He didn't even need to think, assuming that the wolf was attacking his sheep. And like that, the wolf dropped to the ground, blood spewing from its skull.

Anonymous - Kindness
We're told to practice kindness at all times, but no-one really does. Are you kind when you eat ham? Are you kind when you eat beef? Are you kind when you treat animals more horribly than we used to treat slaves? Think about it next time you settle down to a burger.

Raven Storms - Hex Appeal
I'd been searching for years for unconditional love, not realizing that the only one that mattered was me. Nothing else mattered except my love for myself.

TobeornotTobe - Just the way it is
Has it ever happened to you that you are in a place in life where you always aimed to be. I am talking about, THE place you have worked so hard, over a very long period of time to achieve. Only to find out you are not fully happy at that finish line. I do not know if this is what over-achievers feel or if it's simply because this is not my calling.

Brianna Wiest - Self-Sabotaging - Expectations
Feeling unhappy, even if nothing is wrong, and really, you've gotten everything you've wanted in life. What your subconscious mind might want you to know is you are probably expecting outside things to make you feel good rather than relying on changing how you think and what you focus on. No outward accomplishment is going to give you a true and lasting sense of inner peace, and your discomfort, despite your accomplishments, is calling your attention to that.

crymfox - xo-type
When I first started correcting my muscle memory to learn touch typing and improve my WPM.. and since my internet can be rude sometimes.. and since I'm a software developer I decided to create my own typing test platform locally. Then I decided to, why not, make a competitive typing platform where you can challenge your friends. Now it's available online you can check it on xotype dot tech.

E.M. Forster - Maurice
People turned out to be alive. Hitherto he had supposed that they were what he pretended to be-flat pieces of cardboard stamped with a conventional design-but as he strolled about the courts at night and saw through the windows some men singing and others arguing and others at their books, there came by no process of reason a conviction that they were human beings with feelings akin to his own.

Will Mosely - Gone for good
It'll be 10 pm, you'll be seeing hell and I'll be at home, wondering where you've been. I can't help these thoughts, but I wish I could. There's no letting go even though I know I should. Are you gone for bad? Or are you gone for good?

Pat Frank - Alas, Babylon
There was an orange flash and an enormous ball of brown smoke and black bits of debris rushing up to meet him. Peewee kicked his rudder hard and climbed away from it, compressed within his G-suit and momentarily losing his vision. Then the shock wave kicked him in the rear and he was out over the Mediterranean again. He was asking for a vector back to his ship when another flash reflected on his instrument panel.

Patrick Rothfuss - The Wise Man's Fear
There are so many men, all endlessly attempting to sweep me off my feet. And there is one of you, trying just the opposite. Making sure my feet are firm beneath me, lest I fall.

Timothy - Thoughts on Programming and Life
I've been relearning how to program and I'm doing that with Rust. When your program errors, sometimes it panics. Your program stops execution and unwinds the call stack and shows you a stack trace. Basically, a paper trail from where the error occurred. I feel like unwinding the stack is similar to how therapy works, something goes wrong in your life and you have to step back to see where it comes from. You trace it to its origin.

Arthur Conan Doyle - The Hound of Baskerville
Momen dramatis dalam hidup adalah ketika kau mendengar suara langkah di tangga yang menuju ke arahmu, dan kau tak tahu apakah bermaksud baik atau jahat.

Matthew Snyder - The Holy Mother
Nietzsche witnessed the death of God, The Holy Father. However, did he account for the absence of The Holy Mother? Did she abandon us? Was she slain? Or was she just corrupted beyond all recognition?

Skibidi
Skibidi toilet syndrome is created by brain rot from Gen Alpha. Gen Z have also been contributing to skibidi toilet syndrome, sadly, there is no cure.

Maurice Minnifield - - Gravity -
Gravity. It keeps you rooted to the ground. In space, there's not any gravity. You just kind of leave your feet and go floating around. Is that what being in love is like, Holling?
