I can't remember what we first sailed out here for. We spent the better part of our lives looking for dryland, safety, and highland alike. I would come back home, but home comes with me. Call it weather or call it whatever, now I just feel better at sea.
Diana Gabaldon
There were moments, of course. Those small in time, too soon gone, when everything seems to stand still, and existence is balanced on a perfect point, like the moment of change between the dark and the light, and when both and neither surround you.

Hard times are often blessings in disguise. Let go and let life strengthen you. No matter how much it hurts, hold your head up and keep going. This is an important lesson to remember when you're having a rough day, a bad month, or a crappy year. Truth be told, sometimes the hardest lessons to learn are the ones your spirit needs most. Your past was never a mistake if you learned from it. So take all the crazy experiences and lessons and place them in a box labeled "Thank You."
Trent Shelton
Life has taught me that you can't control someone's loyalty. No matter how good you are to them, doesn't mean that they will treat you the same. No matter how much they mean to you, doesn't mean that they will value you the same. Sometimes the people you love the most, turn out to be the people you can trust the least.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Humility
The mindset to have? When you focus on the past, that's your ego. I did this in the past, I won that in the past. When I focus on the future, that's my pride. I'm going to dominate, that's your pride talking. I try to focus on the moment, in the present. That's humility, that's being humble. That's a skill I'm trying to master, and it's been working so far so I'm not going to stop.

- Feeling This
This place was never the same again, after you came and left, how can you say you meant anything different to anyone? Standing alone on the street with a cigarette on the first night we met. Look to the past and remember and smile, and maybe tonight I can breathe for a while. I'm not in the scene, I think I'm falling asleep, but then all that it means is I'll always be dreaming of you.
Lao Tzu
- Virtue
Superior virtue has no intention to be virtuous and thus is virtue. Inferior virtue can't let go of virtuosity and thus is not virtue. So what we do just for the sake of being virtuous is not a virtue but something that we do unintentionally and out of emotions such as empathy, compassion, etc. is a virtue.
Amanda Palmer
American culture in particular has instilled in us the bizarre notion that to ask for help amounts to an admission of failure. But some of the most powerful, successful, admired people in the world seem, to me, to have something in common: they ask constantly, creatively, compassionately, and gracefully.
Amanda Palmer
In both the art and the business worlds, the difference between the amateurs and the professionals is simple: the professionals know they're winging it; the amateurs pretend they're not.
Amanda Palmer
The Fraud Police are the imaginary, terrifying force of 'real' grown-ups who you believe - at some subconscious level - are going to come knocking on your door in the middle of the night, saying: We've been watching you, and we have evidence that you have NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

- self care
Hot Take: Just because someone is giving you low, bad, or dry energy does not mean you have to reciprocate it. You should respond with the person that you are. Being the purest you with your purest response. Running away from your own self is the best way to lose a proper connection with who you are.
Jack Handey
- Deep Thoughts
To me, it's always a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way if anybody says "Hey, can you give me a hand?," you can say "Sorry, got these sacks."

What if she's fine? It's my mind that's wrong. And I just, let bad thoughts linger for far too long. What if (if) she's fine (fine)? It's my mind that's wrong. And I just (just) let bad thoughts (thoughts) linger for far too long. Don't you give me up, please don't don't give up. Honey, I belong, with you, only you baby. Only you, my girl, only you babe. Only you, darling, only you, babe. Only you, my girl, only you, my babe. Only you, darling, only you.

- Anime
Anime is a sense where your imagination comes to life. Like people fighting with swords or versus titans for their own freedom. Discovering now horror or stuff you are into. Anime is very eye opening with many selections from romance to horror. Every anime has a different drawing style. Some can be bright and colorful, others can be dim and eerie. It all depends on what you like.

Maturity is knowing to say what to whom and when. Sometimes saying stuff is not a very good idea. You want to make yourself feel a little bit lighter, so you take your shit and you put it on somebody else's back. Well, that's extremely egoistic. One should know also how to hold things back and assume his or her own responsibility.

- High School
I wandered the halls of my high school alone. I looked down from the second story window at all the students playing in the courtyard. They all seemed to be in a different world than I was. I could hear the clamor from outside, I watched as they all settled in their specific spots everyday. My own classmates, who would always call me 'quiet', seemed to have their own habits. They followed their own routine unknowingly. I know one thing now that I didn't know then; people don't know you.

- Notes From Underground
am a sick man. ... I am a spiteful man. I am an unattractive man. I believe my liver is diseased. However, I know nothing at all about my disease, and do not know for certain what ails me. I don't consult a doctor for it, and never have, though I have a respect for medicine and doctors. Besides, I am extremely superstitious, sufficiently so to respect medicine, anyway (I am well-educated enough not to be superstitious, but I am superstitious). No, I refuse to consult a doctor from spite.

- White Fang
Dark spruce forest frowned on either side of the frozen waterway. The trees had been stripped by a recent wind of their white covering of frost, and they seemed to lean toward each other, black and ominous, in the fading light. A vast silence reigned over the land. The land itself was a desolation, lifeless, without movement, so lone and cold that the spirit of it was not even that of sadness. There was a hint in it of laughter, but of a laughter more terrible than any sadness - a laughter that.

- Fate is cruel
A king isn't born, Alexander. It's made, by steel, by suffering. Kings must know how to hurt those who he loves. It's lonely; ask Hercules, ask any of them; fate is cruel. No man or woman could be too powerful or too beautiful without disaster befalling. They laugh when you rise too high, and crush everything you've built with a whim. What glory they give they take it away; they, they make of us slaves.
